Who We Are

LyfeVest is a secure digital vault designed to help families store, organize, and share critical documents and emergency information with trusted contacts.

The Service is operated by Ferrari Jones Holding LLC DBA LyfeVest, a Georgia limited liability company.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the LyfeVest application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account registration data (name, email address, password)
• Profile information (name, contact details)
• Documents and files you upload to your vault
• Trusted contact information (names, email addresses, relationships)
• Communications you send to us
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

To keep the Service focused on family emergency preparedness, medical, and legal planning, LyfeVest limits the file types and file sizes accepted for document uploads. See our Terms and Conditions for details.

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, browser type, and operating system
• IP address and approximate location
• Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the Service
• Session timestamps and duration
• Error logs and performance data

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google
• Payment status and subscription information from Stripe

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Enable document sharing with your designated Trusted Contacts
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, security alerts)
• Respond to your support requests and communications
• Analyze usage patterns to improve product features
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations
• Record your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions (timestamp and date)

How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

With your Trusted Contacts: Documents and information you explicitly share are made available to the Trusted Contacts you designate. You control all sharing permissions.

This control depends on the security of each Trusted Contact's own account and device, which LyfeVest does not control. If a Trusted Contact's own email account is compromised by an unauthorized third party, that party may gain the same access to your shared information that the Trusted Contact has. See Trusted Contacts & Authorized Access in our Terms and Conditions for more detail.

To help you monitor this, LyfeVest offers optional multi-factor authentication on your own account, alerts you when your account is accessed from a new device or location, and keeps a visible log of when your Trusted Contacts view a shared document. These features do not extend to a Trusted Contact's own external email account or device.

With service providers: We work with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Service:

• Supabase — database and file storage
• Netlify — hosting and serverless functions
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic — AI assistant (Relay) functionality
• PostHog — product analytics
• Resend — transactional email delivery

All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

For legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of LyfeVest and its users.

Business transfers: If LyfeVest is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before such a transfer occurs.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit). Access is controlled through row-level security policies that ensure you can only access your own data. You may also enable optional multi-factor authentication on your account for an additional layer of login security.

In the event of a data breach that affects your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

• Account data: Retained until you delete your account
• Documents and files: Deleted when you remove them or close your account
• Activity logs: Retained for 12 months from creation
• Payment records: Retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years)
• Terms acceptance records: Retained for the life of your account and 7 years after closure

After account deletion, residual copies may remain in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your information
• Objection: Object to certain uses of your information
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

You may also unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Cookies & Tracking

LyfeVest uses the following tracking technologies:

• Session cookies: Required for authentication and keeping you logged in
• Analytics: PostHog collects anonymized usage data to help us improve the product. No personally identifiable information is shared with PostHog beyond what is necessary for product analytics.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in.

Children's Privacy

LyfeVest is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete that account immediately.

Third-Party Services

LyfeVest integrates with third-party services. When you use these integrations, your information is also subject to their privacy policies:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Send a notice to your registered email address
• Display a prominent notice within the Service

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
